    Does anyone filter their water?

I'll give filtering a go plus I'm going to go to my local tropical fish shop and see if I can get some RO water.

    Does anyone filter their water?

I was thinking about getting a 8.5l water filter, it will still take some time filter but better than using the smaller ones!

    Does anyone filter their water?

Does anyone use a water filter to filter their water before brewing? I've tried campden tablets before but I can't say it made a great deal of difference, however, after using my water filter I've noticed my water tastes a lot cleaner. I'm thinking about filtering my water before I brew next but...

    us 05 repitch attenuation

Technically re-pitched yeast shouldn't attenuate differently. However, there are so many factors that could affect the yeasts ability to attenuate (Selective pressure, Health of the yeast, differing values of aeration in the worts, etc) With a fresh pack of dried yeast you will have the right...

    American Style Beers

It's the one thing that's missing from UK homebrew shops is USA Malt. Always seem to end up using Lager Malt instead.

    American Style Beers

It depends where you go. I know a few pubs in the Town I live in that have quite a large range of beers (IPIA, Bitters, Pale Ales etc) and one in particular that has 18 casks lines, 14 keg lines from all over the world plus countless bottled beers from all over the world (it's also an...

Temperature Controlling Fermentation for Larger Volumes

I'm considering upgrading to stainless so I can brew larger volumes, however, my brew fridge can only handle my 19l carboy. So I'm wondering how people who brew say 50l/100l control their fermentation?

    Mild

I entirely agree, Mild is a fantastic beer. :thumb: It's a real pity it's not more commercially available. It's also cheap to make and ready to drink in a few weeks which is surely a bonus for any commercial brewery (and home brewery!). :drink: look even the smilies are drinking Mild! :D...

To Do or Not To Do......A Diacetyl Rest
