Thanks for the replies, I admit the priming sugar seemed a little short, i racked the beer from the fermenting vessel into the same sized bucket, I roughly left 2 litres in the bottom along with the sediment yuck. I added the priming sugar and gave it a consistent stir for about 2 minutes...
