Water addition question - soft Scottish water

Im having problems getting a good pale ale brew - they all tend to come out tasting the same, soft, fruity but nothing more than that, I mean you would be hard pressed to even say what hops were in it! I have been using an Excel spreadsheet calc that somebody added my water report into a few...

Would this work as a keggerator?

I'm looking to either build a 3 keg keggerator or buy the mangrove jacks one. Mangrove jacks takes 3 of the newer slimline kegs so I would need to swap mine at additional cost or just have 2 older cornies in use till I could afford to swap. Making one is obviously cheaper and if I could get one...

    emptying fermzilla collection bottle

My brew is under 12psi and I want to empty the now full collection bottle - do I need to release the pressure prior to emptying the bottle? Im thinking yes as the stuff in the bottle is obviously at 12pis as well and when I unscrew that pressure will release and boom!

Galaxy and Nelson pale ale (with a little lactose)

Looking to make a nice hoppy Pale Ale with Galaxy and Nelson hops. I also have added for the first time a little lactose to the recipe - I'm hoping this will bring out some of the fruity character of the hops and maybe lower the perceived bitterness a little... As I say, never brewed with...

    When to start upping pressure?

First time fermenting under pressure, read that it's best to leave it a while at standard pressure before upping it. It's went from 1058 to 1033, is now the time to up the pressure? Brewed on Saturday but wasn't fermenting until yesterday afternoon.

    CO2 gun for purging bottles?

Is there such a thing as a little handheld CO2 gun that I could use to purge my bottles prior to bottling? One thing I'm toying with is buying one of those whipped cream dispensers, they take NO2 canisters but I'm sure that's ok, better than air and it might be able to take a CO2 bottle. I'm...
