    Mangrove Jacks M44 yeast

Yes it is. The picture doesn’t really do it justice because of the crappy quality of an iPhone camera.

What are you drinking tonight 2020.

My own attempt at a NEIPA. A little over carbonated and a tad bitter but very drinkable. Mouthfeel and smell is really quite good. Finished up at 5.4% ABV.

    Mangrove Jacks M44 yeast

Well here's the finished article. A little over carbonated and a tad bitter so Ill know to go easier on the hops next time but the smell and mouthfeel are really good. Finished up at 5.4% ABV.

    Mangrove Jacks M44 yeast

In hindsight if I'd have done anything differently it would have been to rehydrate it before pitching. Update:- It seems to have slowed right down again.

    Mangrove Jacks M44 yeast

Cheers everyone, mind at rest now, just checked it and there's a smidgen of bubbling and a slight krausen.

    Mangrove Jacks M44 yeast

Has anyone ever used this? Ive got a beer in the fermenter at the moment and I,ve pitched this into it and progress is very slow with it. It's not exactly gone off like a rocket and after 36 hours there's very little activity. I'm hoping it picks up a little.

    James Morton - Brew

To be honest I'm quite a fan of extravagantly hopped beers so this book may bode well for me. Thanks.

Your second and third efforts look really good, that last one looks like a milkshake!

    NEIPA colour.....

No mate, stored in a dark cupboard above 20 degrees.

    NEIPA colour.....

Sounds like a few episodes of trial and error.......

    NEIPA colour.....

Yes by colour I mean't a orangey golden type colour quite thick and murky. Regards oxidisation, it hasnt been moved or touched since fitting the blow off valve so I'm a bit surprised there. What do you guys reckon then? Stick it out or bin it?

    NEIPA colour.....

Just over a week ago I decided to have a crack at a NEIPA, had a look at a few recipes and calculated ingredients to make a one gallon batch. Everything went very well and when transferring in to the demijon ready to pitch the yeast I noticed the colour of the beer was a very typical juicy, hazy...

Does everyone always follow a specific recipe or.....

That's my plan, to write down exactly what i did and used and see what the end result is and then adjust from there for the future.
