Coopers have changed their tops to ****e industry standard ones now, the nylon seal is gone. The old ones fitted Barrs 70cl pop bottles beautifully too. I have a load of old, 60/ 70s lemonade bottles with a selection of bakelite and plastic tops, but as the tops split and wear out I cannot...

Would that leave the brew bit sweet? or do I use less sugar?

Morning Chaps, Anybody have any experience of brewing lower or less alcohol beer? I am considering halving the sugar in a kit as a trial, are there any pitfalls I should watch for? Cheers :cheers:

I loved it, overdid the extra hops but twas lovely.

Tasted it last night, been in the bottle since late May, fookin ansum! I need to try and drink responsibly! I left a bag of hops in for about 6 days too, very hoppy, great flavour.

bottled it 5 weeks ago, used a hop bag as well for a week, the brew took nearly two to finish.smelt deliciously hoppy but didn't taste too bitter when I bottled it. Due home next weekend, looking forward to it.

My lovely Aussie son in Law bought me the doings, Coopers Wheat Beer, Enhancer and 2 lager yeasts, plus 12g of ground Lemon Myrtle. 24 hours in and fermenting like fook, smells good too. Lemon Myrtle is an Aussie spice/ herb, very nice in food and there are a few beers down under with it in too.

Finished my last litre bottle the other night, lovely dark liquorice tones, mmmmmmmmmmmmm. The Tooheys Dark is also very good, I have 2 lined up.

Bottled in old lemonade bottles using tops donated by the lovely jimp2003, cheers Jim mate! Bottled it on Tuesday, 16 day ferment, probably due to the cold weather, although it foamed like fook! Lovely colour and aroma, back on shore on the 23rd when I will post a taste report................

Hi Plumpton, perfect tops, I have a few of these already, leftovers from my Old Man's collection. I'll post some pics when I get home in 4 weeks. Anybody else with any of these tops, I would be more than happy to take them off your hands. A big thank you to Jim.
