Trouble with kettle elements tripping out.

I've just had a look at Yorkshire Waters web site and after typing my post code in, it shows as being "moderately soft water". Is there anything else I should be adding to the water?

Trouble with kettle elements tripping out.

Well, I live in a soft water area. I think it's about 6.2 ph. I usually treat the strike water with a campden tablet but that's all.

Trouble with kettle elements tripping out.

Hi all. I'm having a bloody hard time with my heater elements getting coated with matter, whilst heating the wort up during the early stages of the boil. 32 Pints down the drain!

Just had to sling a 5 gall of blonde away the other week, the thermo got knocked and got too warm but came back with a 10 gallon version which was a belter, I'm still slightly bitter about it though :|

    World Record

Can't see the point at that strength, won't be enjoyable at all. Also, has anyone read the brewdog labels? they're offensive!

    AG#2 Glusburn Blonde

Hi, it's only temporary really, just use some beer line with a stainless steel clip but the only draw back is using the top tap barrels: as the beer gets quite low it starts pulling air through the float valve, other than that it works very well and no need for the S30 cyclinder. :thumb:
