    Can anyone tell me how to carbonate after lagering to below 2 degrees, I have read that adding yeast to your sugar aids carbonation, but I would have thought that putting yeast into a sealed bottle would stop the yeast activating. Or is there another way?? All help greatly appreciated

I have read that you can add sugar and yeast together to put in the bottles, but if it is a sealed unit how does the yeast activate.     sorry for the delay, answer to your question , I put 800 grams of beer enhancer and 250 grams of golden syrup, I would like about 4.5 abv at the moment the sg is at 1035, i'm just experimenting with the syrup...

    oh thanks for the tip I would have just put it in from the packet. if I put about 200 grams in will I get a better fg,even if it has started fermenting?thanks again for your input

    thank you both for your replies, I think I may filter half off one batch and leave the other and see if it makes any difference, the ones I have fine filtered look gin clear but does not seem to have the body I was expecting. The kit I used was a KenRidge Chardonnay.

    Does filtering help with the taste and quality, I read somewhere that it actually takes the taste and quality away from the wine, has anybody got any views on this?
