bottle carbonation

my first time bottling ale, added half a tea spoon to each bottle and its carbed great but to much for an ale, would suit a lager, any recomendations? have i put to much sugar in?

Yeah go with a quarter teaspoon next time!

hi dg,1/2 tsp in a 500ml bottle works to my taste, others prefer less dependant on preference.
If it's not 4 u you will have to adjust it on the next brew & just suffer drinking fizzy ale this time or send it to me to :drink: : ken.
