Braumeister heating coil

My BM hearing coil has stretched out of shape ( probably from trying to clean the hard to reach areas after each brew. 30 to 35 brews in)

The middle section now sit higher than the top section as as a result they are touching. I’ve tried to bend back but to no avail so my questions are-

is it still safe to use/ will it overheat where the element touches compromising beee taste?

do I need a new element and are they easy to replace?
Any input would be welcome chaps!

Yes my element also touches from new on the BM20+ not had any problems
