Cider vs beer barrel

I have been given a cider PB but the lid is no good. So I troed one from my beer PB and the threads are completely different, is this normal or just a one of barrel?

My King Keg and Wilco Keg don't specify what they are designed to store and both caps are interchangeable.

It suggests that your Cider Keg may just be a different make rather than being "Cider specific".
