Hi, I have my first attempt at brewing in the fermentor at the moment but it's sitting at a constant 18 degrees so for my next attempt I have bought an inkbird 308 and I'm going to purchase a heat tray, my question is.... Where is the best place to put the probe?
Thanks

If plastic FV, I just put mine on outside wall of FV, with a sponge to keep in place/insulate stuck with masking tape. Hi tech shiz

I do the same, but I’ve not quite made it as far as masking tape, so I just use a piece of string wrapped around the fermenter.

Outside of the FV. I created an insulated patch for it from a padded envelope by tearing off the outer paper later and folding in half, so essentiallya patch from four layers of bubble wrap. Stuck on with masking tape.
