Conditioning time in a cooler?

Yesterday I was lucky enough to pick up a commercial cooler with no shelving, free of charge from my local. :-)
It is temp controlled and my question is, after the carbonation period would placing beer in the cooler at a steady 12C temp speed up conditioning?

Anybody?
The main reason for taking it is for storage but if it improves or speeds up conditioning all the better!
