Dropped thermometer in FV!?

I've just dropped the thermometer in the FV, what the f*ck do I do?

It's only been going a couple of days and temp is good, and constant. I don't really need it. I washed it with bleach and rinsed before using, so it was clean.

Leave it or decant? I can't see how I could fish it out in a sterile way. I'm inclined to leave it. I'm pretty sure it didn't break, but if I find that when I decant into another FV after finishing I'll chuck the lot.

Your advice please, my learned friends.

Leave it in if its been sanatised,more important is your hydrometer to tell you when to keg/ bottle
PS unlikely to have shattered dropping it in any liquid

Thanks. I have some long barbecue tongs which I could sterilise but it's a lot of messing about with the lid off.

Leave it well alone, it won't do any harm if it intact.
