Well, I got my 2nd Coopers Stout on at the weekend. My word that kit can ferment can it not?
To the kit I added:
500g Muntons Dark Spray Malt
500g Muntons Extra Dark Spray Malt
300g Dark Muscavado sugar
2x 10g licorice sticks
a tea of fennel and caraway and 2x star anise in the boil
22 ltrs and an OG of 1.040
I was prepared for a vigorous fermentation and had used a blow off tube but later that night it was going like a train so I sat everything in a tray and protected my wall :shock:
Anyway, the following morning it was going like an express train and I estimate that I have had something like a ltr and a half out of the airlock/blow off.
Finally settled down this morning but still cant quite believe that action, wow. Also a bit miffed I am down to 20 ltrs of the good stuff.
