Out first homebrew lager is rather flat. It looks and tastes fine, though!

Can we make it a little 'fizzy' like lager is when you buy it from a shop etc. (e.g. Carling, Fosters, Stella Artois etc.)?

If it's something that needed to be done during the brewing process - what should have been done?

what have you put the finished beer in, a plastic keg?

If you want fizz you need to bottle it or use cornie kegs and force carbonate it

It's in a plastic keg, yeah.

How would putting it in a bottle make it fizz?

You'd put a bit of sugar in the bottom of every bottle so it would carbonate. CO2 can escape a keg much easier than a bottle :) Dan

I want to add that there is a large head when poured that stays in the glass all the way down, so surely this means there is already a lot of CO2 present?

We always advise bottling or corneying (is that even a word) lager because the plastic kegs vent at around 10psi.
