Good Evening - Flixon Breweries Here

Time for a quick update we thinks.

So our Mexican Cerveza has stalled slightly. We expected bottling today, but we had a bobber and a taste, and it was slightly sweet. We've put some great yeast in and another packet of yeast however, we think the weather might have been playing some tricks on us. So we've just added some yeast nutrients and left it for a bit.

On a slightly more positive note, the raspberry and lime cider has turned out brilliantly. The taste is phenomenal, and at 7.5% helps us to fall over really quite well. We've just primed this and it's conditioning in bottles. We're sure this will be a hit at barbeques this Summer.

We've also banged in some 'Geordie lager', from Wilkos. Added a bag of brew enhancer and a bit extra.

Overall, we're making leaps and strides. Going forward for the next brew, we'll dry hop, to see what that gives us, and we've made a few home brewing contacts in the local area that are helping us with any potential mishaps.

Thanks yo everyone on here for your help, and we'll keep you all posted.

Best Regards,

Great news, not a cider drinker however this sounds great, put a few pics on so we can see the progression, I am intrigued in the colour and clarity of this ?

I will do mate, it's just bottle conditioning at the moment. We'll crack one open probably Monday, when our next beer is due for bottling, and we'll send you a photo of the cider.
