Hello from the West Country

Hello forum, I'm a newcomer to the world of homebrew. I've had some success with cider using apples from the trees in my garden and some country wines, cordials and spirits from stuff I've found in the woods and hedgerows. But what I am struggling with is beer. All my efforts so far taste like petrol. So I'm hoping to learn a few pointers. Mantajohn

Welcome : petrol you say? Get brewing its gotta be cheaper than the real stuff by at least half :grin:
