For all techno brewers - How about this for your next project?

http://www.raspberrypi.org/archives/2129

A bit too much for me, but a kitted up Raspberry Pi will only cost you about 50 quid and you can get an old fridge on eBay.

A Christmas present perhaps? :mrgreen:

From my limited understanding of computers:
RasPi will be able to controll all the systems in use in HERMS, handle the fermentation and the storage if the correct inputs are given and there is a program written or you are able to program it. With the addition of Arduino chips and relays the whole brewery can become fully automated and monitored.

The RasPi isn't a cheap knock-off computer it is a custom built system that utilises the ARM chips (Most seen in smart phones) instead of the usual processors.

If you have the know-how and a little loose change type cash* spare it would be worth a play.

Me? I can't program my Sky planner :lol:

* Compared to other computers

That looks brilliant. I have a Pi lying around doing nothing (Boys toy). I will look into this more when I have had less home brew. :drink:
