I brewed at the weekend and when removing the hop spider before chilling I noticed that the hop spider was pretty clogged up and the wort inside drained very slowly.

I thought it had been the amount of wheat, 30%

the grain bill was:
3.14kg Pale malt
1.35kg Wheat
270g Carapils

I added T90 pellets but that's not been an issue before.

The only other change from previous brews was the addition of half a Protofloc on 15 minutes. I guess these are designed to clump up the proteins etc and help them fall to the bottom?

Any thoughts or just a collaboration of the above?

Get rid of the hop spider and keep using the half protofloc. The hops drop out thrown in loose.
