How long do hops last?

Just found an open foil sachet of Elderflower Golden Ale hops from a Festival Summer Glory kit I did a couple of months ago.They are wrapped up tight in a plastic bag.look and smell fine and coming from the 'waste not want not' school of thinking I was going to chuck them into a Muntons Gold Pilsener. There aren't a lot, possibly 10g but thought I'd check on here first. Will I die?

I think you may possibly die of ebola if you use them.

So, In the interests of health & safety, send them to me and I will check them using some secret testing liquid I have, known only as W.O.R.T. to see if they are ok
