Hi guys can anyone reccomend a good set of scales for measuring out very small amounts. I have started treating my water and have to measure out like 3 or 4 grams of Gypsum etc .

Look online for the SALTER brand kitchen scale; really good for measuring small amounts (including grams)
Argos stock them I think...

If you search for jewellery scales on eBay you'll get a set for a few quid, the one I got weighs in 100th of a gram increments.

If you can't find small scales, you could always just brew a lot more beer...

My Morrisons £8 ones are accurate to within +/- 1g, going by coin weights. Very impressive, but maybe not quite good enough for your water treatment measurements, though you could upscale and then dilute, for accuracy. I do that for nutrient measurements in yeast starters.

They look like the type of scales needed to weigh my brother. He's a behemoth... The analogue ones go full circle and tell him he weighs 8 stone... I think this makes him happy.
