Me, I've come close on a few,

turning an element on with no water in the hlt = black blue element/smoke...luckily it didn't blow it still works to this day :roll:
turning heat exchanger on but not the recirc pump = rumbling noise from HE and boiling water spewing out from the top all over the bench :roll:
turning hose water on to plate heat exchanger but forgetting to attach hose to PHE outlet to drain = water everywhere :oops:

A brewday wouldn't be complete without one or two hiccups :grin:
 
Dropped a bucket of water on the kitchen floor last brew :roll:

Landed 'flat' so only about a gallon bounced out :whistle:


....... told MrsC that I'd decided to mop the floor for her so she had a nice sparkly floor to come home to :whistle: :lol:
