I made a Sour Raspberry wheatbeer 13 litres
1500g Pilsner
1500g Wheat
100g Acid malt
Pitch 5g Philly sour and 5g Kristallweizen
OG 1050 FG 1004 ABV 6.0%
Added 500g of thawed frozen raspberries to the secondary and I'm leaving it 7 days.

Hey @MickDundee , what was the final reckoning on this beer? Did it end up as you had hoped?

Technical question for you on the details - did you pitch the entire pack of Sour Pitch? According to the data sheet the pitch rate is 10g/hL - so even if you did something like a 20L batch one pack is way more than you'd need.

Cheers acheers.
Turned out very well, scored well at the last Freestyle comp too.

If I had 2 complaints it would be that the raspberry wasn’t quite strong enough (although not a million miles away) and it needed a touch more tartness.

Yeah I used a whole pack of Sourpitch. I didn’t bother testing PH though which was probably my downfall on the tartness front and definitely something I’ll do if I make it again for next summer.
