McEwans 80/ not red enough in colour

I've recently done the below brew as my first AG. It went well and tastes great. Only issue I've got is that it's not red enough for me compared to the original.

I caramalised 3ltr of the runnings down to 1ltr and added it back.

Can anyone suggest what to add to make it darker and more red for the next brew.

OG: 1.039 SG FG: 1.012 SG

Ingredients



7.1 oz - Oats, Flaked

Mash addition (5.5%) - 1.0 SRM

6 lb 15.1 oz - Pale Malt, Maris Otter

Mash addition (86.3%) - 3.0 SRM

8.8 oz - Barley, Flaked

Mash addition (6.8%) - 1.7 SRM

1.8 oz - Roasted Barley

Mash addition (1.4%) - 300.0 SRM

1.76 oz - Challenger

Boil 60 min (43.0 IBUs)

0.35 oz - Goldings, East Kent

Boil 15 min (2.8 IBUs)

1 pkg - Edinburgh Ale

Crystal is the way to redden stuff up, but thats not in the recipe. You could try caramelizing harder, let it get real gloopy. But honestly if it tastes great, I wouldnt worry about it, colour is second to flavour imo :)

Your right. The taste is spot on. I'll give it a bit more caramelisation next time and see what happens.
