Hi all,
Am new to this forum and require a little advice.
I've recently resumed making homebrew from the kits.
I've fermented and kegged a bitter and have started a fruit cider going for the missus

Don't ask me why but I put the yeast in with the 6pints of boiled water before topping up with the 30pints of cold water.
Will this kill the yeast?
If so should I just add a new sachet?

Is there any risk of off flavours from the scalded yeast?
Thanks for any advice.

Aaron

All you have done is inadvertently made a yeast nutrient for your brew.
