Hi All

I've been brewing AG for 6 months now and have recently grabbed the necessaires for making a fermentation/cold crashing fridge. I have the following:

1ft 40W heater
Fridge that drops to 5deg
Inkbird ITC 308
Here are my noobie questions:
1. Does the shelf that seats the FV need to have holes for aeration? The existing glass shelf supports the FV with a couple of DIY feet.
2. What temp is needed for cold crashing?
3. Should it be done gradually?
4. For how long?
5. At what point should I cold crash? Wait for dry hop to be finished?
6. When priming and bottling should the temp be raised or is it ok to bottle at low temps?
7. The fridge is big enough to keep my S airlock attached. To prevent suck back should I just empty the lock and place starsan soaked cotton in the top?

Sorry for all the questions!

Thanks for any help :)
