As my interest in beer has grown I figured the only way to get to know it even better is to make my own. So here I am.

My first beer - an Irish stout - is currently bubbling away in the corner after doing the business on Saturday. Just a kit, to begin with. However, once I know how it's going to taste without amendments, I expect I'll keep trying out different things with it as I'm quite experimental overall.

Welcome to the forum Stew. Just make sure everything is clean and have patience and you will get some good results.

Welcome to the forum :drink:

Good quality kits produce great results, and all you need to do is be careful with your sanitising, and be patient, and you will be richly rewarded

If you are genuine about enjoying experimenting, then I stronly recomend you look into starting All Grain brewing, which gives you complete control over every aspect of the brewing process :thumb:

Thanks all

I fully intend on moving to all grain, but space constraints in the flat and the fact I've still got to learn about the basics will keep me happy for now. Lot of reading to do.

Another weegie! :thumb:
