Think the prices are high in UK - Just found a commercial site here in Turkey supplying - hop extract, malt, malt extract powdered form and malt extract in liquid form.

http://magaza.hammaddeler.com/Bira-Malz ... 7-2_4.html

Hop extract - £89.36 for 1kg!!

Malt - £36.84 for 25kg

Malt extract £134.05 for 25KG

Malt extract liquid - £85.63 for 15kg

Now you see why i malt my own! i get a kg of unmalted for 29p so £7.32 for 25kg ! :thumb:

Ouch!! The malt price is maybe 50% higher than average here - that's a price hike that would annoy the hell out of a lot of people here!

Yeah i know - the hop extract is in powdered form too?? And i couldnt justify buying the powdered malt extract at that price either as thats the only weights they do them in. Dont see how i could stop it going rock hard once opened.

Is there any chance you could do a tutorial on how to malt grains?
I'm sure I'm not the only one that would be interested :D

I am currently getting pictures together of the stuff i have just malted, roasted and crushed. So the next batch of grain i do, i will do a photo shoot from start to finish too and then i'll do a how to on it all.
