when i add my priming sugar to my bottling bucket can i add black treacle as part of the sugar content to get a slight flavour?

If you were going to add treacle, now is not the stage to do it, I would've thought at the boil stage :!: but as Mark says, it would certainly affect the taste, why alter the brew at this late stage :?:

Whilst on the topic of priming which is best to use? granulated or brewing sugar to bottle prime. Just about to bottle my mexican cerveza.

I did this with a batch of stout. "Imperial Treacle Stout". You do get a slight taste of the treacle and the beer was very popular. Wouldn't do it with an IPA though.
