when i add my priming sugar to my bottling bucket can i add black treacle as part of the sugar content to get a slight flavour?

If you were going to add treacle, now is not the stage to do it, I would've thought at the boil stage :!: but as Mark says, it would certainly affect the taste, why alter the brew at this late stage

Whilst on the topic of priming which is best to use? granulated or brewing sugar to bottle prime. Just about to bottle my mexican cerveza.

I use ordinary granulated without any problem .

I did this with a batch of stout. "Imperial Treacle Stout". You do get a slight taste of the treacle and the beer was very popular. Wouldn't do it with an IPA though.
