The 'K' type sensor that came with my InkBird PID has an annoying 1/4" screw thread adapter on that means it does not fit inside my boiler's thermowell, it also does not look waterproof so probably can't just leave it dangling in the water. I tried to pull the adapter part off but it won't fit over the where the sensor is 'crimped' to the cable.
Looking for recommendations for a suitable sensor that is either waterproof or does not have an adapter for a thread wo cansimply be inserted into the thermowell.
