The Scottish Craft Brewers have organised a visit to Stewart's Brewery at Loanhead on the evening of 17 June, starting at 7pm. The location is Unit 5, 42 Dryden Road Bilston Glen Industrial Estate EH20 9LZ http://tinyurl.com/3ythtjm.

If travelling from centre of Edinburgh, we can get the 47 Lothian bus at 18.07 from the Carlton Hotel on North Bridge and get off just beyond IKEA at Nivensknowe Caravan Park. From there it is a 10 minute walk - turn left on to the A768 Niven's Knowe Road, first right on to Dryden Road, first left and Stewart's Brewery is about 350 yards along on the left. If you have any problems with these directions, then please get in touch (Traveline Scotland and Google maps are wonderful!)

The cost will be £5 - this just covers the cost of the Beer and Snacks on the night.

If you would like to come along then please let me know as soon as possible so that we can let Steve know the numbers to expect.

Dunfie, this sounds excellent, I'll be up for it if I can arrange a baby-sitter.

Hi gfm, the more the merrier. Just let me know if you firm up on your babysitting plans so I can make sure I can let Steve know the numbers.

I'm definitely up for it. I've moved through to Edinburgh now Calum by the way, so I hope to come to more to SCB meetings.

Just when we were sorting out one for Glasgow.  Are you going to travel through to Glasgow for your new job everyday?

Excellent on the brewery visit, I'll let Norrie know. I think he is contacting Steve Stewart tomorrow with the number.

I should have posted these photos earlier but better late than never.

The team met and were enjoying some of the brews that were on offer. The brewery very generously put three beers on handpull and also allowed us to taste some of their bottles and experimental brews.

This is a chiller against the wall. I have to admit to being surprised at just how small it is.
