Any recommendations for nice pint close to the city hall ?

Only one I can think of is the The Benjamin Huntsman - J D Wetherspoon

I've had a decent pint or two in the Devonshire Cat, think it's on Wellington Street, it was a few years back though.

If I was in Sheffield any time soon I think I'd be heading to the Sheffield Tap, but thats a bit of a trek from City Hall.

we love the sam smiths pub the brown bear ... real local yorkie pub with some good cheap ales...
will be up there on the weekend too ..
the tap is great get a tram to it, as its right near the tram station..

Yes we have some cracking real ale pub Sheffield.

Think the water works (another Wetherspoon) is closet so will go for that.

Sheffield Tap is well worth a visit.....in the rail station. They usually have Jaipur on cask :)
It will take you about about 15 mins to walk up to the city hall from there.
