Im going to be bottling a St peters ruby red ale tonight. Had a sneaky taste yesterday why checking FG it was very bitter can anyone tell me if that is how it should be.I am hoping that the taste will improve with a good period of conditioning.

It is quite bitter / hoppy straight out of the fermenter settles down nicely after a couple of weeks in the bottle ... best left a month +

Did one of these kits tail end of last year, one of the best kits around imo...

I was disapointed with the RRA, however I bottled some and 4 weeks later is very drinkable, better with age I would agree

The ruby was my fav kit so far perferd it younger though as it was a bit sweeter
