I just rinse my bottles after use and put them in my cellar and I've done a few brews where all I did was give them another rinse in hot water and that was it!
No issues.
Ok usually I give them a dunk in a sink full of hot water with a dash of bleach and a rinse...but that's the absolute most they get. If I remember I even do the caps....
However, pre fermentation I go mental clean and that's because bugs like oxygen and sugars. In a bottle it's got a weak alcohol solution and no oxygen. Hardly a pleasant environment
