Hi, I’m looking to do a brew tomorrow from a 40 pint golden ale tin. I’ll be adding a hop tea to the mix aswell as malt extract around 400g. I was thinking of adding syrup as well to make it up to the 1kg .
Firstly does this sound ok?
Secondly has anyone added flavourings such as vanilla extract or salted caramel flavoring? If so how did it work out?
Thanks

What kind of syrup?
Is it concentrated pure fruit juice? Is it artificial flavoring with a bunch of sugar or chemical preservatives?

1 tin of golden ale malt extract (there'll be some hops in that already)
1 500g packet of muntons DME
1 tin of T&L Golden syrup - a 50g dry hop as a starter for 10 or hop tea.
job done

Cheers mate. So for a hop tea I boil it and add to the FV with the malt extracts right?
