Have been testing my pressure barrel and I have an issue.

testing at 1/3 full of water and injecting an 8g CO2 canister into it.

Basically the top cap is fine and seals up great from the off (used a smear of Vaseline)

The tap washer leaked initially - but I changed it and now the tap washer seals up fine (used a smear of Vaseline in both cases)

But the tap itself - the bit you twist to turn it on and off - has a tiny weep... I have taken it out and smeared it with some Vaseline and refitted it but that hasn't helped.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Would you believe it.... the weep has stopped... it was only teeny tiny, but it has now gone. Hurrah

I am happy to buy a new one, just wanted to avoid waiting for the royal mail as around here they are pretty stretched at the mo and deliveries are a little shall we say erratic - not that I am complaining obviously given the current situation I think they're doing a fab job

Wonder why things fix themselves the minute you post on the web about them
