Hi Y'all

just drunk a brewfferm abdij I brewed a year ago, and one of my own creations for xmas 2016 and they both had that dark fruit plummy experience. Then decided to open a bottle of st. bernadus abt 12. very little difference between them all .

Please tell me my taste buds are damaged beyond repair because the abt12 is supposed to be close to the westvleteren 12! which I have but am not quite ready to try. :drunk:

Maybe the more hoppy beers are better suited to the lighter months?

When you say "dark fruit plummy experience" do you mean a bit like sherry? This can be an indication of your beer being oxidezed

yes a bit I suppose , but not much different than a st. bernadus abt 12. tastes.

7% :shock: Bit rich for my blood. I'm more into 3.5%-4% beers. Furthest I go up to is about 5% but thanks for the offer :thumb:
