Mornin' all. Have convinced the 'missus to part with our old wardrobe for a lovely new one. My secret motive is to convert the old one into a brewing cupboard in the garage.
I'm going to insulate the interior and install a small tubular (greenhouse) heater.
I read on the forums here that people who have done similar things, sometimes using an old fridge, have installed max/min temperature controllers.
Would there be any difference in rigging up an old 'wall' type thermostat in line so it just turns the heater off and on when the temp dips below or above the setting?
Thx in advance.

It would be ok when the ambient temp is cool. The advantage of the fridge with temp controller is that it cools as well as heating for the summer
