Drinking the other hoppy pils, the combination of tropical from the hops and the lager sulfur is making this kind of like drinking a tropical banana smoothie it's quite good.

I got citra, Amarillo,cascade,Columbus.
Those are difficult actually, I think you are looking for more fruity for this one those are probably too piney and dank. To be honest going all citra would probably be best.

I have all of those ingredients except magnum hops.... I could sub that with some Zeus though... @Hazelwood Brewery I'm guessing the recipe is in your brew day thread?

It is but it might take a bit of finding so here it is...

Summer Breeze 5.2%
4.5Kg Vienna malt
500g flaked oats
250g Torrified wheat
75 min mash at 150F

20g Magnum Leaf AA=15.3% 60 min

1/2 Protofloc tablet at 10 mins
50g Citra leaf AA=13.6% at 10 mins
50g Galaxy leaf AA=12.6% at 10 mins

Cool to 165F
50g Citra Leaf AA=13.6%
50g Galaxy Leaf AA=12.6%
Hold for 30 mins then cool to 70F

22 litres in the FV, OG =1048
10g US West Coast yeast

50g Citra leaf on day 7

Barrel on day 12, SG=1008

Edit: You can use pellet hops just the same as leaf. Also Liberty Bell yeast is just as good in this beer.

Banks Golden Ale. Quid a bottle. 3.8%.

It's sort of a modern take on a AK or Light Mild. More modern hops, but not hoppy, if you see what I mean. Easy drinking, almost bland. I quite like it, but I think it is way to subtle for most.

@Hazelwood Brewery

I'd quite like to give that a try, I have everything but the galaxy, is there another hop that will give the same characteristics?

Not in my view - Galaxy is pretty unique.

You can use the same recipe with Mosaic and Simcoe (my “Festival” ale) for another nice brew but it’s a very different ale.

It's cold out there, so cold I am cold crashing the Amarillo wheat overnight. Will try to get it bottled up tomorrow.
