I found this classic which I love..the girl singers are just so out of their depth and totally bemused....too many notes!!
The song is called CHEEPNIS and is all about cheap monster movies..
Fantastic musicianship - I defy anyone to disagree

It's album release day so, courtesy of Apple Music, I have The Living End (my childhood favourites, formerly rockabilly influenced pop-punk but became more of a stadium rock band from the 3rd album), Karl Blau (multi influence indie-pop, currently signed to Laura Veirs album) and The Allergies (a hip hop group id never heard of but Andy Cooper from Ugly Duckling makes a guest appearance on the album so thought I'd give it a go) lined up for my commute.

Yep, I had the new Hatebreed album "The Concrete Confessional" and the new DevilDriver one "Trust No One" waiting for me, so I've arrived at work ready to start a circle pit and headbutt someone.

You need something angry to get all your frustrations out from Wednesday!

I hadn't realised Hatebreed had a new album out, might give it a go on Monday.

You know exactly what you're going to get with a Hatebreed album... and this doesn't disappoint. Only listened once through, but it's pretty brutal. :thumb:

I love modern country music. The fantastic Alison Kraus and other such artists. In the US country has moved on so much.I was watching the Country music awards of 2015 on sky arts and they had Fallout boy on there bloody brilliant. How about this Glenn Cambell doing a Green Day song https://youtu.be/fPpJT3QRRnk just the dogs doo daa's

Yeah, modern country is a guilty pleasure for me. Eric Church and Zac Brown Band are probably my two most listened to.

I'm listening to all sorts of tunes from my youth stuff like Lit, Jimmy Eat World, Reel Big Fish, Alkaline Trio, Less Than Jake, Refused, Hell is for Heroes...

...i'll grow up and listen to some proper music next week lol

I listen to all sorts, but I do like a bit of metal. Gojira and HateBreed do it for me, but Opeth has to be my favourite. They've even made a couple of beers, an Imperial stout and a pale ale.

At the moment I'm listening to something different though, the new Messenger, which I reckon is pretty good:

I'm not a massive fan of modern country, although I have a friend who's into it big time and some of it is rather listenable. I do like so-called "alt-country" and country/folk influenced indie and rock a lot though (Ryan Adams, The Bottle Rockets, Laura Veirs, Neko Case), and some of the proper songwriters/storytellers who were around long before I was born (Cash, Kristofferson, Nelson, Jennings) though.

One of my musical heroes released a country album a few years ago too:

**Shameless self promotion**

I'm listening to my bands 2nd EP, Finally got CD's back from the printers and checking the duplication is ok.

Anyone who likes a bit of Punk (more precisely Horror Punk) check it out at www.deadstiff.com or go over to youtube and search for Dead Stiff - Ed Gein

If you're into horror punk, what do you think of the original Misfits line-up reforming for Riotfest? I'd give my left bollock to go over for that.!

I'm gutted to not be going to Riot Fest, If I hadn't have booked a light to go to Portland at the end of the month I'd have probably booked a hostel and ticket to Chicago by now.

I went in 2013 when the Replacements had reformed as a mate won a pair of tickets, we saw Danzig & Doyle doing a Misfits set then which was great. The festival overall was fantastic and I've promised myself every year I'd go back but then friends seem to keep getting married that weekend.

Lets just hope the Misfits can get along for long enough to do a full tour.

Well, nobody thought that THIS reunion would happen, so can't rule anything out now.

I've never been to Riotfest, but would love to go. Danzig and Doyle at Hellfest 2013 was amazing, so I REALLY hope they can get along and come over here.
