I have a colleague over from Portland with Saturday to kill in London.

Bizarrely, coming from the heartland of hops and craft beer, he's not a beer man. He seriously geeks out on cider and whisky though.

Are there any specialist pubs that anyone can recommend he gets to in London?

Thanks

C

I believe the Euston Cider Tap is the DD's I have a customer who always goes in whilst waiting for his train back north. :thumb:

The Vintage House, Old Compton St., Soho - not a pub, but one of the best ranges of Scotch malts you'll find anywhere. Should keep your friend happy all afternoon ;)

I would think it rude if you didn't offer to help him find such establishments   British hospitality and all that

The Brittania, Kipling St, SE1 - has three chalk boards full of Scottish Whiskeys (Whiskies?).

the owners father was a distiller, and I seem to recall him saying that every year he does a tour of every open distillery to buy bottles - he has some from places that have been closed for a while. About 150 in total I think.

it's a short walk from London Bridge Station.
