I ordered the 310T about an hour ago. Liked the pre-programmable temp step function it's got.
I also planned on getting the long probe for it in due course but have just read this and realised it hasn't got a detatching probe. D'oh!
Could end up getting the wire cutters & soldering iron...
Duh. Didn't spot the discount code at the top of the post.
Ah well. Even if the code only knocks off the price hike, I'm still better off.
Was originally going to go down the diy route but spotted these and they just look to me like the hassle free option.
Bit of a late reply, mate but I did the BD Shiraz a while back and was very impressed. I didn't think it wasn't hugely similar to any Shiraz I'd ever bought from the shops but still a lovely thing in its own right.
Would be interesting to see how you rate your Beaverdale against the others...
I used to spend ages shaking them like mad to get that bit of solution out from behind the washer thing. Don't bother now. Quick shake to get excess drips off and it's put on.

Sorry for a bit of a hijack gents but just did a little test boil in my new 70L Bergland pot tonight and straight away noticed a ring of rust about an inch up from the bottom.
Straight away went at it with a magnet to check it was 304. All good on the sides and base but the weld...
How long did they spend in the primary Imperial?
I only ask as I recently did a Coopers lager and left it for a full 3 weeks in the primary. Bottled it almost crystal clear, little or no sediment in each bottle. 3 weeks in the warm and roughly another 3 in the cold and they're all unusually...
Well she let slip my hints were heard but instead of the 50l pot I was after, she went mad and got me a 70l one. :nah:
Now all I need is:
Biab bag.
Secondary FV.
Block & tackle, or a course of Nandrolome injections to help me pull the thing.
Assorted containers and pans.
Wort...
