Hi

I am buying cam lock connections for my set up and looking for advice for what type c to buy.

I am buying silicone tubing from brew builder that is 12mm ID and wonder if I should get the biggest type c fitting. Mr lard said it's a struggle to get on but it then won't come off.

Who has used the type c fittings and what is the best one to get.

Cheers

Is this the one you have 1/2 inch

fwiw my take was to get the camlock female fittings with female bsp threads. Type D
Part-D.aspx

into those i screwed 1/2" bsp weld nipples..

that allowed me to use 19mm id silicone tube and a jubilee clip to secure the camlock/weld nipple to the hose..

No restriction or unwanted bottlenecks to catch debris..

this is all for hotside brewing..

This is what I have, looks different to yours.

Brewers, what's the flow rate like from that? Do you wish it was more? I am switherng between your cam lock size which I know will fit and be fine, or a bigger size to increase flow rate. My set up is 100l.

You could always change the end connector if you want a bigger flow from your boiler to the mash tun, then crank the handle down to reduce the flow.
