I wonder how many strokes of that pump it takes to move a batch and how hard it is. And that poor bugger having to move all the wort with a jug on a stick. I'm such a clutz I'd have it all over the shop.

What we must remember is in those days plain water was even more lethal.!!!

The discovery yeast was essential for brewing was a breakthrough

You know I was in New York for a month around this time last year, though I visited a few breweries I didn't know about this one.
