Apparently the UK is too poor to spend money on Foreign Aid.

It would appear not.

I am all for foreign aid going to places it is needed but i am also for charity beginning at home we have working families on low pay going to food banks lets half what we send and look after our families in need at the same time.

How about "Let's double what we send and make sure that it's spent in the right places for the right reasons!"

Please check out the following ...

https://fullfact.org/economy/uk-spending-foreign-aid/

... it contains the same graph as shown above but also has a second graph that shows the UK spending mush less than countries like Sweden and Norway!

What is not very often published how much of the UK's Foreign Aid budget is "Conditional or tied aid." which is where one country donates money or resources to another but with conditions attached, for example a trade deal.

In many cases, the UK gives the money with one hand and takes it back with the other in the form of Conditional or Tied Aid.
