heating element control

Hi, I've just done my first AG brew and thoroughly enjoyed and went without any major hitches, I would just like to know if I can control the boiler element with some gadget to slow down the rolling boil? (I use a 32ltr old tea ern with a 2.2kw kettle element) it was very vigorous, a little too angry me thinks. Many thanks in advance.

You can adjust power with a phase angle controller (have a read here). You can get them from time to time on ebay - mostly unboxed though so you'd need to enclose it to be safe :thumb:
