Plastic or Glass bottles.

I have moved over to plastic bottles for my beer, but came to do a Orange Brandy from Classic Liquors and it states "Store in glass bottles" is there any reason why a high ABV (20%) liquor needs to be in glass not plastic. So much easier with screw caps.

Some plastics and their components are soluble in alcohol so it's natural for a manufacturer to recommend that NO plastic bottles are used to store a high alcohol product.

It's called "covering your ass" because although many plastics are NOT soluble in alcohol (and can therefore be used) the manufacturer goes for the lowest common denominator and bans all plastic bottles. :whistle: :whistle:
