How to cut through Stainless Steel using a Q-Max cutter

Hi all, thought i'd make a quick how to for using a Q-Max cutter as I found this method very easy when I converted my 60l thermo and 100l pot into a mash tun and boiler. Heres how to cut a 20mm hole, I'm useless with a drill normally but this was easy! Here is the cutter, It comprises of...

    Nordic Tb's

I got a 60 litre delivered last month. It came without the tap thankfully as i want my tun to be a bottom drainer. Mine mesures in at 395mm diameter (internal). I'm now on the lookout for a false bottom :hmm:

'How to' convert a thermo box into a mash tun

What I was thinking was a smearing of JB weld under the flange to make a good bonded seal with the inside of the tun. I have read that you should have the black washer on the nut side of the tank connector but i can't see how this will create a good seal, if it was placed under the flange this...

'How to' convert a thermo box into a mash tun

I have ended up getting a basic tank connector and a 90 degree tap connector to fix straight onto it, Looks like it will work fine with a fibre washer inserted into the meeting point of the two (are fibre washers food grade)? The only issue looks to be a little extra dead space, but correct me...

    Coupling Question

Thanks lads I've got my head around it now. Aleman's site seems a little cheaper but all in all this will be quite a costly set of accessories. If i was to go with Alemans idea i think I'll need: 3 part B http://www.intricoproducts.com/catalogu ... partb.html @ £17.94, for my 3 vessels with...

What is your method of coupling hoses from and to your pumps, I am just in the process of building Vossys style of vessels and has come to the time of ordering my fixtures of the boilers and mash tun. I have orded those 3 peice 1/2 ball valves from BES and i snatched some silicon tubing which...
