Thanks for the comments. I do have a bar in the sitting room with a couple of fonts - this is mainly for setting up at someone else's place. Looks a bit better than those party type dispensing taps you can buy.

Been thinking of building one of these for a while now - something you can use when you have brewed beer for a party or another event. Finally got round to it this week - the taps I bought from ebay a year or so ago for £17 (each) which I thought was a bargain as they are completely stainless...

Nevermind Bishopsfinger I understand. I never let my wife know the true cost of the things that I buy for this hobby and she's not too keen on me smelling the house out when I brew, but she's away at the moment that's why I'm going to get another sneaky brew on before she gets back. :cheers:

I think the make of the water boiler is parry and it is a 15mm ball valve that I replaced the standard tap with.

Regarding SS conicals I was in contact with a uk company that will be importing a batch of conicals from china next week. The sizes range from 20L to 100L the largest should cost around £450. It's a lot of dosh but they look very nice.
