I had suspected the coconut might be the factor here, I've put fruit in my brews before but never coconut.
Would make a lot of sense esp as I used a protofloc tablet which might've caused the grain sediment to bind up with the coconut.
Either way I don't mind too much, I've taken 12 months...

Thanks for this, and yes I've had half pints of lacto-beers before without much of an issue, but a pint has been enough to send me home with the dreaded cramps before now too!
If your kit came with some tubing you could cut an inch off the end and use it as a kind of connector between the FV lid and your airlock... Hope you get it sorted chief!
